2 Secrets to Succeed in a Job Interview!

2 Secrets to Succeed in a Job Interview, that most interviewees ignore –

Before I talk about the Secrets, first a disclaimer!

No one, other than the business owner, can gurantee a candidate’s success in a job interview .

Even for the most eligible candidate, multiple things could go wrong, that are not in his/her control.

A gun to fire it’s got to have a bullet inside it first.

Similarly for a Candidate To succeed in an interview, s/he has got to get an interview call first.

And I have seen many frustrated candidates, who have great CVs, applied in dozens, however never received a call.

Today, I would share with you 2 important secrets that would help you get the long awaited interview call for your dream job –

Secret 1 — Read every job description multiple times before applying, and prepare your CV carefully to project yourself as a stand out candidate for that specific role.

Like a Sales Deal, in an interview an Interviewee is a Salesman and and the Interviewer is a Customer.

No matter how many skills an interviewee has, what’s important is, does s/he have those two specific skills the interviewer is looking for.

And that’s where most of the interviewees falter. Either their CVs dont have those specific skills mentioned or lost in irrelevant details.

Majority of interviewees just look at the Headline or just the role, and very few actually go through the JD carefully.

Therefore they apply in dozens with the same CV, never get a call and eventually get frustrated.

Secret 2. In LinkedIn, take help of your connects from the company you are applying.

80%+ positions are filled through referral.

Therefore just clicking Apply on Naukri or Linkedin and hoping to get a call would lead you to frustration.

If you dont have a Linkedin contact, first make few contacts within the organization (including the person who raised the job opening) you are applying in, and then get yourself referred by them.

This would help the CV catch the right eyeballs.

Above Secrets are Fundamental but Crucial and Hygienic that are ignored by many.
